The Systems Approach is a nursing theory developed by Betty Neuman, a nursing pioneer, who was ahead of her time by acknowledging the holistic approach to wellness and treating the whole person. This is also my approach to helping people live their best lives and live to their fullest capabilities. The Systems Approach focuses on the response of a person to actual or potential environmental stressors. We will address these stressors that keep you out of balance and focus on a functional way to rebalance your life, your mind, your body, and your spirit. My approach includes:
- Real health involves the "holistic" person.
- Body and Mind are both integrated and inseparable.
- Every person has an energy system that is a part of the physical body.
- My approach to holistic health is to treats the "whole" person, not just symptoms and disease.
- Real health is not just the absence of disease, but a positive state of being.
- Real health is achieved with a functional medicine approach which looks at what caused your dis-ease instead of just treating symptoms, using both natural and preventive approaches to health.
- Every person has a responsibility for their own health and must be an active participant in his/her own healing.

Your Brain Health
Alzheimers, dementia, OCD, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, depression... I could go on and on. What causes these disorders. What is the root causes of why these disorders occur in some and not others. There are many research studies out there trying to figure this out, but I believe a lot of it has to do with not only epigenetics, but also your diet and the amount of inflammation in the body.
My father passed away after being diagnosed with Alzheimers and my mother was diagnosed with Dementia. My husband and I were the main caregivers of my parents with help from my sisters.
